Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale, aka Arike American professional basketball player with the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, prior to her being picked by the Wings with the fifth overall selection of the 2019 WNBA draft. Ogunbowale took gold at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship and 2013 FIBA U17 World Championship, and the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship. In July 2014, she was selected to be a member of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also selected for the ACC All-Freshman Team for her first collegiate campaign. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for hitting several huge shots during the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale, despite being somewhat new to the basketball game, is already establishing herself as an elite player. It is likely that she will succeed in her professional career.
